Imperx to Exhibit at SPIE Defense and Security Symposium

1 April 2006 (Boca Raton, Fla.) -- Visitors to the SPIE Defense and Security Symposium in Orlando (Kissimmee) Florida on 17-21 April 2006 are invited to visit boot #442, where they will be able to see the latest offerings from Imperx, Inc. Featured products include Lynx high-speed and high-resolution programmable digital cameras, as well as the company’s latest frame grabbers and adapters.

Of special interest to Symposium attendees will be Imperx’ line of Mobile Imaging Components. These include PCMCIA frame grabbers for laptops and PDAs; frame grabbers for single-board computers (SBCs); high-resolution fast programmable cameras; and Camera Link, DVI, LVDS and RS422 adapters.

Applications engineers will be on hand to discuss visitors’ projects and show how Imperx’ programmable digital camera technology can provide system functionality that was unimaginable previously.

“Defense and security applications are a critical part of our product focus,” says Imperx President Petko Dinev. “We have developed software and hardware technology with these applications in mind, and have done considerable research on how to apply that technology to the problems military and homeland-security system developers now face.”

About Imperx

Imperx, Inc. designs, develops and manufactures advanced, state-of-the-art imaging products used in the machine vision, medical, defense, surveillance and astronomy markets – wherever there is a need to capture high-resolution digital color or black/white images for both still and full-rate motion processing. Imperx’ product portfolio is focused in four core areas: cameras, frame grabbers, adapters and repeaters. The LYNX mega-pixel camera line features rich, high resolution, high speed, color and monochrome image-capture devices, and offers unprecedented performance for today's demanding machine vision and surveillance applications. The VCE series of analog frame grabbers have achieved number-one market share. Framelink™ digital frame grabbers for Camera Link® cameras are the only products of their kind on the market! The Adapt-A-Link™ series of adapters allows customers to leverage their investment in existing cameras or frame grabbers with dissimilar interfaces by performing the necessary adaptation. The Imperx series of Adapt-A-Link™ repeaters overcomes distance limits imposed by the Camera Link® and LVDS standards, providing virtually unlimited physical reach for distributed image-sensing systems.
