Imperx - Industrial Cameras

C-4080-cmos-cameraThe C4080 is our most technically advanced, ruggedized, progressive scan digital camera intended for machine vision, surveillance, reconnaissance, aerospace, aerial imaging and intelligent traffic systems. The C4080 incorporates a number of unique features tailored to reduce system complexity, maximize interface bandwidth, and expand the usable operational range.

The C4080 features the ON Semiconductor KAC-12040 CMOS image sensor with a native resolution of 4000 x 3000 in an 4/3” optical format delivering up to 70 frames per second in either global or rolling shutter mode and supports the following outputs: Camera Link® Full w/PoCL® (CLF), USB3 (U3V), dual CXP-6 CoaXPress® w/PoCXP (CXP). CMOS technology eliminates smear columns from areas of ultra-bright intensity and specular reflections in uncontrolled lighting applications. The camera has excellent sensitivity, fast frame rates, exceptional dynamic range and supports strobe outputs, trigger inputs, automatic exposure, automatic gain control with multiple LUTs, and other high-value functions.

The Imperx Cheetah line provides excellent image quality with Imperx proprietary processing. In addition, Imperx puts you in control and gives you full access to raw data without corrections. Using the simple, intuitive graphical user interface, you can quickly apply image corrections, if desired. The C4080’s flexibility, image quality, and speed make it suitable for a broad range of diverse and demanding applications, but “one size doesn’t fit all,” and Imperx can help optimize the camera to your exact requirements.

Unique features include:

  • Smart Wide Dynamic Range. Advanced technology monitors each pixel’s exposure independently and sets it to one of three user-selectable values based on the intensity of the source at the pixel.
  • Multi-Frame Capture & Switching. This allows you to configure two independent camera frames, each with its own resolution, exposure, gain, dynamic range, and decimation. You can mix and match the frames programmatically or by external trigger to extend your capture options and capabilities. For example, you could set Frame A to capture high resolution detail and Frame B for low resolution contextual information.
