Imperx Welcomes Arie Kaplan as Director of Business Development

Imperx, a leading provider of ruggedized cameras for aerospace and defense, machine vision, scientific and medical applications, announces the appointment of Arie Kaplan as their new Director of Business Development.

Mr. Kaplan brings extensive technical and market expertise in imaging, lasers, and optics, and in machine vision including metrology, aerospace, defense, and food and beverage. His previous work has focused on cameras and sensors for imaging across the spectrum from the UV to thermal IR, multispectral and hyperspectral imaging, and colorimetry. Mr. Kaplan has held key roles at leading companies such as Boeing, DRS, and Coherent, as well as innovative smaller organizations.

Mr. Kaplan holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from UC San Diego, is a co-patent holder, and is an active member of professional organizations such as SPIE, IEEE, and AIA.

Mr. Kaplan’s appointment comes at a strategic time of expansion for both the Imperx team and the company’s product portfolio as they strengthen their position as the most trusted brand of ruggedized cameras in the space, aerospace, defense, and machine vision markets. In recent months, Imperx has expanded their engineering team, released their first family of SWIR cameras, and launched the Panther series of visible light cameras with embedded AI core. The addition of Mr. Kaplan as director of business development builds on this momentum and growth.
