Imperx Automation cameras are available in Gigabit Ethernet (GigE Vision®) with Power over Ethernet (PoE) as the latest in common standards providing up to 100 meters of distance and Camera Link® with Power over Camera Link® (PoCL) for larger bandwidth needs. Both of the standards provide power and data over a single cable.

Imperx’s Tiger, Cheetah and Bobcat 2.0 are advanced, rugged and extremely programmable camera lines manufactured with the Automation markets in mind. Imperx CCD cameras are fully programmable using the easy-to-use Imperx camera configuration software. The cameras provide many ways to trigger the camera and synchronize it to external lighting, events or other cameras. The remarkable Imperx Tiger cameras use larger, faster sensors (4/3” to 57mm optical formats) and advanced processing technology to meet ever more demanding applications. Camera resolutions include 47, 29, 16, 8.6, 8, and 4 megapixels and offer a broad range of frame rates. Ruggedized and Industrial versions assure performance and value.

Imperx CMOS Cheetah cameras give you control over your imaging with a wide range of models, features, and programming options, perfect for all of your Automation imaging needs. Advanced CMOS technology and Imperx engineering expertise provision cameras with excellent uniformity for the highest levels of image quality, unique features like wide dynamic range, flexible trigger/strobe options, and a choice of Camera Link™, USB3 Vision™, GigE Vision™, and 3G-SDI interfaces.
Imperx Automation cameras feature a thermally optimized design, 14-bit internal data processing, 8, 10, 12 or 14-bit selectable output, low noise and greater than 60dB dynamic range. Imperx uses interline transfer CCD sensors and are available in color, monochrome and TRUESENSE Sparse CFA options.
All Imperx Automation cameras use industrial grade components assuring dependable use with an extended temperature range of -40˚C to +85˚C and shock/vibration performance of >1000G/100G. The Imperx design is a MIL SPEC 810F product and has a certification of MTBF of > 660,000 hours @ 40˚C (Telcordia SR-332). The extremely low power and small design is effective in small spaces. Imperx offers selectable mount options to support almost any lens in the market.

Programmable I/O’s

Imperx Automation cameras have 4 inputs and 2 outputs, which are completely configurable for any application. Imperx Automation cameras have been designed to easily integrate into any Automation or Factory Line with features such as programmable delay of trigger, programmable amount of exposures per trigger, delay of trigger and/or strobe, alternating exposures and more. This type of programmability allows for easy integration even in the most challenging production lines and automation applications.

Extended Temperature Range/Lifespan

Imperx Automation cameras are manufactured with industrial grade components, which provide confidence that the cameras will always be running. Many Automation and Factory applications require rugged components that can withstand extreme temperatures and environments. Imperx cameras have an MTBF > 660,000 hours @ 40˚C. This certification provides the security that a production line will not stop due to the camera failing. In addition, OEMs can be reassured that support will not be required due to the camera whether around the block or on the other side of the world.

Fast Acquisition

Imperx Automation cameras include an overclocked mode, which will provide a speed improvement of 20%. Imperx Automation cameras also include multiple Regions of Interest for the ability to increase the speed by removing the region or regions that do not need to be imaged. With multiple ROI's, the camera is capable of increasing the overall data rate by not sending unwanted data. There are 7 programmable ROIs that can image an area as small as 2x2 to the entire imager. Lastly, with 'Fast Triggering Mode,' the camera can trigger at the full frame rate for perfect synchronization for any Automation application.
